Trek Packing List:

Please be sure to label everything with your name and unit

Personal Items:

  • 5-gallon plastic bucket/lid to store personal items (everything placed in a trash compactor bag) and for seating. Twist on lids preferred to snap on for easy access
  • 3-4 trash compactor bags. One to line your bucket, one to line your backpack and two to put your sleeping bag and pillow in, if you are not using a wet bag. (Regular trash bags will not last)
  • Dry Bag (or 2- layered trash compactor bags) for Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Extra plastic bag to store wet clothes
  • 2 water bottles (32oz each if possible)
  • Sleeping bag
  • Foam sleeping mat
  • Pillow
  • Flashlight or headlamp (and batteries)
  • Scriptures in 2- 1 gallon size Ziplock bags (water can get past the first bag)
  • Personal hygiene items. 
  • Rubber bands to secure trash compactor bags

 

Snacks, bug spray, and first aid supplies will be provided by Ma’s and Pa’s

 

Clothing for Young Men & Pa's

One set of trail pioneer clothes:

  •  Long sleeve shirt 
  • Long pants 
  • Hiking shoes 
  • Wide brim hat with strap (to hold it on)
  • (Optional- sports underwear/shorts to wear under pants to prevent chafing) 

These items will be worn while on the trail each day. Plan on them getting wet and dirty!

 

One set of pioneer camp clothes

  • Long sleeve shirt
  • Long paints  
  • Shoes  

These clothes will be changed into after tents are set up and we have settled into camp. Your Ma and Pa will know when it is time to change into your clean dry clothes. Each morning you will change back into your trail clothes.

 

Additional clothing Items:

  • Raincoat or Poncho (If you bring a poncho, bring two. They tear easily)
  • PJ’s (shirt and jogging pants. It gets cold at night)
  • 5 changes of underpants and socks
  • Windbreaker, hoody, thin Jacket



Clothing for Young Women & Ma's

One set of Trail pioneer clothes: 

  • Pioneer style long-sleeve blouses
  • 3/4 length skirts
  • Hiking shoes. 
  • Apron with pockets 

These items will be worn while on the trail each day. Plan on them getting wet and dirty!

 

One set of pioneer camp clothes

  • Long sleeve shirt,
  • Long paints 
  • Shoes  
  • Bonnet or Wide brim hat with strap (to hold it on)
