The physical journey ahead

The Bangor, Maine Stake 2026 Pioneer Trek will be a journey of faith and physical endurance. Participants should be prepared for significant walking each day. You will walk 3 to 8 miles per day , traversing varying terrains and experiencing the trek much like the pioneers did. This experience will challenge you physically, but the rewards—spiritual growth and lasting memories—will be immeasurable.

To ensure you are ready for the daily mileage, we highly recommend that all youth begin their physical preparation now. Incorporate daily exercise into your routine to build stamina and strength. This can include regular walks, jogs, or other activities that get your body moving. Gradual preparation will make a significant difference in your comfort and ability to enjoy the trek.
